Kōhī Coffee, Jhamsikhel
A 42-seat specialty café built around a single concrete bar and a cork ceiling that keeps the room calm at full house.
Concept
The owners roast their own beans, so the bar had to be the stage. We cast a 6-metre concrete counter in place and kept everything else muted so the brewing is the show.
Cork baffles on the ceiling bring the reverberation down to conversation level. Seating mixes window counters, two-tops and a long communal table for laptop hours.
Lighting is layered: warm pendants over tables, a wash on the bean wall and daylight from the reopened front elevation.
Outcome
Opened in autumn 2025 and has run at capacity on weekends since.
